Attention actives and alumnae:A new school year is upon us! For many of you actives, that may mean that it’s time to start thinking about where you’re going to co-op in the spring, or what you’re going to do when you graduate. Which also may mean that it’s time to dust off your business suits and start hitting up some job fairs. And what better way to succeed in your job hunt than with a stunning resume?Luckily, the 5th annual fall Resumania is just around the corner! Here’s your chance to get some comments and tips from the pros on how to improve your resume! Here’s what you do:- Email your resume to the Resumania director at Resumaniaactive@yahoo.com between September 14 and October 4.
- The Resumania team of Phi Sigma Rho alumnae industry professionals will review your resume and return it with comments.
- Be sure to specify your field of study and last name in the subject line of the email (i.e. Resume: Electrical Engineering, Smith or Resume: Auto Industry, Jones.)
Now alumnae, here’s where you come in – we need your help! Join other alumnae in helping actives further their careers by giving some of your time to review one or more resumes. We need alumnae from all backgrounds!If you’re interested in volunteering, here’s what you do:- Email Resumaniaalum@yahoo.com to sign up.
- Include your work experience and your degree in your email. This helps with matching the actives’ resumes with similar fields of interest.

Okay, we've been slacking but there's a ton going on these days! Let's see if we can give you a quick update:
- Did you all hear about Convention 2009 Registration opening? Our website is up and running and it's time to start registering! http://www.phisigmarho.org/Convention2009/
- There is also a Convention 2009 Event on Facebook - contact us if you want to join and haven't been invited yet! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/event.php?eid=57779850545&ref=ts
- At the end of February, CWRU-Omicron Chapter hosted our second PSR Regional Conference for the North East Region and did a fantastic job! Penguin Shout-out to the ladies at Case Western for all their hard work!
- LEAP Incentive applications closed on March 15th and we had a majority of the chapters apply this year. Those that will be awarded the scholarship will be notified soon.
- Winter 2009 Resumania ended with 65 actives submitting resumes reviewed by 15 alumnae! Thanks to all the ladies who helped review resumes and good luck to the actives looking for jobs!
- The Ritual Committee has been very active and working hard on their review and improvements. We can't wait to see the outcome!
- Look for the March 2009 Newsletter soon! And you should have seen our latest bulletin recently too.
- There are several proposals currently out or on their way out for comments and review. Take the time to check them out.
- The nominating committee has been working very hard this year on selections for the 12th National Council slate. The ladies will be interviewing candidates soon!
